Accessibility

Please note this section is currently under review.

Tobacco Factory Theatres is committed to making this site as accessible and useable as possible to all users, irrespective of their abilities and the means they use to access tobaccofactorytheatres.com. We are aware of our responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and aim to fulfil both these requirements and the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

tobaccofactorytheatres.com uses semantic XHTML for structure and pure CSS for styling and layout. The site is designed not to rely on images for navigation and where they are used text fallbacks have been made available. While the site does make use of Javascript and Adobe Flash, neither of these technologies are required in order to view the site and where they are not available the site gracefully degrades to the next available technology. The site is designed to be navigable whilst any combination of images, CSS, javascript and or Flash are not available, though in some of these circumstances it may look odd. The site avoids the use of low contrast text for critical and interactive elements, and does not rely solely on colour to differentiate navigational elements.

We actively strive to improve and increase the accessibility of the site. If you have difficulties in using the site or would like to make suggestions as to how we can improve the site’s accessibility then we invite you to contact us and we will endeavour to assist you.
