“This was an amazing workshop that enhanced the students’ skills and really made them think. It was excellently executed for our range of students. Exceeded my expectations!” Kirsty, Ashton Park School on Explore: Waiting for Godot

Workshops are still available following our recent production of A View From the Bridge. Arthur Miller is one of the 20th century’s greatest dramatists and A View From the Bridge is a gripping tragedy that is as powerful and pertinent as ever. A View From the Bridge was the first production directed by our Artistic Director Mike Tweddle for our theatre and part of our inaugural Factory Company season in spring 2018.

Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey (Thu 11 – Sat 27 October) bravely and carefully explores important issues; sexuality, bullying, homophobia, love, adolescence and adulthood. We have a range of workshops available to support your PSHE classroom delivery as well as your Drama curriculum. We’ll use drama based workshops and interactive forum theatre to explore bullying and or sexual identity. Please get in touch explaining what topics feel most prevalent to your school and we’ll create a bespoke workshop plan for you.

    We can explore:

    • Why are people bullied?
    • Who bullying effects.
    • The emotional impact of bullying.
    • What your pupils can do to celebrate difference.
    • Sexual Identity
    • Gender Stereotypes and media representation
    • Where to get help.

Why not give your students the chance to dive into the underground world of The Borrowers (Thu 29 November – Sun 20 January) this Christmas?

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like through the eyes of a Borrower? How to make a bed out of a matchbox, or a ladder out of a cotton bud? Working with a highly experienced theatre practitioner, students will immerse themselves in the tiny and imaginative world that hides beneath our floorboards. They’ll play at being little people, big people, cats, hoovers and feather dusters. We’ll use found objects to make something new and allow our imaginations to reinvent, recreate and turn the world upside down.

Come join us for a bright, uplifting, quirky, anarchic and surprising glimpse behind the scenes of this years Christmas show.
