    How to Book

    You can book tickets in the following ways. Whichever way you choose, we won’t charge you a booking fee!

    Online

    If you’re booking for a show in the Tobacco Factory Theatres Programme visit our What’s On page.

    If you’re booking for a show at another venue, for which Tobacco Factory Theatres acts as a Box Office, visit the What’s On page and select ‘External Shows’ from the list of genres.

    Box Office Opening Hours

    11am – 6.30pm Monday to Saturday (excluding. Public holidays)

    On days when performances are scheduled, the Box Office desk will be open until the start of the performance. If there is a show scheduled on a Sunday or public holiday, the Box Office desk will be staffed 2 hours prior to the performance and staff will be contactable by email, but the phone lines will not be open.

    At certain times of the year e.g. summer or Christmas, our opening hours may vary. These special opening hours will be specified on this page; please check before you make a special trip.

    Please note that sometimes our Box Office can be very busy. Waiting times on the phone lines are generally very low but at busy times including season on-sales, you may wait a little longer. Please bear with us and consider calling back at another time or emailing us (see below).

    Posting or collecting your tickets

    For shows at Tobacco Factory Theatres

    We can post out orders of up to 10 tickets, up to 5 days before the performance (excludes unreserved performances and tickets which require proof of ID). There is an admin fee of £1 per transaction. If you require posting of 10+ tickets, please contact the Box Office.

    Alternatively, you can collect the tickets during Box Office opening hours. Please bring the card you paid with for identification. Tickets for shows at both the Factory Theatre and the Brewery Theatre should be collected from the main Tobacco Factory Theatres Box Office.

    For shows at external venues

    If you are buying tickets for shows in a venue other than the Factory Theatre or Brewery Theatre, your tickets can be collected either from the Tobacco Factory Theatres Box Office before the day of the performance, or at the venue just before the performance. Please bring the card and the confirmation email to collect.

    Payment

    We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express.
    Cheques should be made payable to Tobacco Factory Arts Trust.

    Seating

    Some of our shows are reserved and some are unreserved. You will be able to tell when booking your tickets, depending on whether you are given the option to select your own seat. If the show is unreserved, please consider arriving well in advance.

    Concessions

    Concessions may be available for Children (16 and under), Over 60s, Registered Disabled, Equity and BECTU members, Students and Unemployment Benefit Claimants. Concessions are available at the discretion of the producing company, so may not be available for all productions. When collecting concessionary tickets, proof of eligibility must be provided.

    Reservations

    Tickets can be reserved for a maximum of 48 hours – full payment is then required. If we do not hear from you by the 48 hour deadline tickets will be released back to public sale. We cannot reserve tickets to be paid on the door on the performance night. Full payment must be received at least 2 hours before the start of a show.

    Refund and Exchanges

    We cannot offer refunds, but tickets can be exchanged up to 48 hours before the show for another performance of the same production (subject to availability). An administration charge of £1 applies.

    If a show is sold out then we can try and resell your ticket at the charge of £1 per ticket resold. We cannot guarantee the re-sell of your ticket. If sold, we will refund you via the payment method you bought with. In the event of a cancelled show, tickets can be exchanged to another date of the same performance or a full refund will be issued.

    Groups/Schools

    For certain performances, for every ten tickets bought by a school or group, the eleventh is free. Please note, this offer is not available online. Other group and school discounts may apply. Please ask the Box Office for further details.

    Offers

    When booking offers online please note that you can only book for one show offer per transaction. If you want to book offers (e.g. family tickets) for two different shows, you will need to complete the booking for each individual show in a separate transaction in order for both offers to apply.

    Most offers will be applied automatically when you add the correct combination of tickets to the basket. Occasionally you might need to add a promo code when prompted.
