    dressed. Sewing Workshop

    • 18 May
      18 May - 18 May 2019

Love clothes? Lydia from Made My Wardrobe is on a mission to shake up fashion and give people the skills to make their own outfits.

If you’re aged 15 to 24, join Lydia for this exclusive sewing workshop where you will master sewing machine skills and make your own jersey sweatshirt.

Don’t worry if you have never made anything before – no previous experience is required.

You will be given the chance to choose your own fabric and alter the design so that it fits the way you like. Also, hear how Lydia built her creative business using Instagram and think about how you can reclaim your social media channels so they work for you.

In 2016 Lydia gave herself one year to make all her clothes. At the end of the year, she gave away all the clothes she had ever bought from shops. Made My Wardrobe is the blog she created to document and share the process and everything behind it.

dressed. is the show that Lydia made in collaboration with theatre company ThisEgg to tell her story. Lydia made all of the costumes for dressed. and will be performing in the show when it comes to Tobacco Factory Theatres this May.

    Bursary Places
We strongly believe that no one should miss out on opportunities at Tobacco Factory Theatres due to financial constraints. We have a limited number of bursary places available for this workshop. Please contact getinvolved@tobaccofactorytheatres.com to find out more.
