    Inside: Beautiful Thing is an event created to open up discussion around the theatrical, political and social context of Beautiful Thing as well as examining methods from our rehearsal room. Take part in lively discussions, lectures, workshops and Q&A sessions with experts in the field, including hearing from our Artistic Director and director of the production, Mike Tweddle.

    Tea, coffee and croissants will be served in the morning and a buffet lunch will be provided at 1pm.

    The morning’s activities will include:

    Director in Conversation. Hear the director, Mike Tweddle, talking about the influences and creative decisions that have fed into this production of Beautiful Thing.

    Inside the Music A talk from Thomas Johnson, Musical Director for Beautiful Thing. Thomas will take us through the relevance and impact of the music in the show. Thomas is a composer, musical director and musician. He studied at Oxford University. He has composed music for theatre companies across the UK and internationally. His music has been performed to audiences worldwide. He has worked with theatre companies in Costa Rica, the US, Russia and China. He has also written scores for several BBC Radio 4 drama productions.
