New Year’s Eve 80s Party

    About

Dust off your ra-ra skirts and shoulder pads and head back to the 80s for New Year’s Eve at Tobacco Factory.

Headlining the transformed BODACIOUS BAR will be dance music aficionado Bill Brewster, who has travelled the world since the 80s, playing all the major clubs. Few DJs have his dedication, eclecticism and encyclopaedic knowledge of music.  Local lads Bedmo Disco play host, with strong support from Boogie Cafe Records’ Jimmy The Twin and Supersmash resident Spinthief spinning their take on the 80s.

Outside, get down at the BIG TOP BLOCK PARTY, hosted by Boogie Truckers, celebrating the birth-of-hip-hop and electro with special guest dancers BBoy tv throwing down jaw-dropping moves.

In the Thali Café, Worm Disco Club present OUTERNATIONAL TROPICAL GROOVES, drawing upon the rich musical sounds of the 80s from beyond our shores, with guest DJ Dial Africa and incredible live African drumming from Tématé.

Step upstairs and into Tooty Frooty’s rather naughty GUILTY PLEATHERS takeover of the Theatre Bar, starring Carmen Monoxide with DJs James Dyer (K.E.T FM), Michael Vinyl, Ranks (PLU) & Blindbat playing back-to-back 80s bangers all night long.

Plus there’ll be delicious street food (voucher included in ticket price), a retro photo booth, dance-offs, walkabout, neon & UV face paint and a few other surprises along the way…
