Performing Workshops with Jamie Wood

Ahead of Jamie bringing his critically acclaimed trilogy of shows to the Spielman Theatre on Wed 13 – Sat 16 February, we’re delighted to welcome him to share his practice in his Effortlessly Funny workshops, exploring his definition of the word ‘clown’.

The three shows in The Jamie Wood Trilogy are:

O No! Wed 13 & Thu 14 February – A psychedelic ride and wonky homage to the woman damned for destroying The Beatles, which asks whether falling in love is always catastrophic.

I Am A Tree – Fri 15 February – When Jamie is still for any length of time, someone finds him and tells him about their life. I Am A Tree is an invitation to drink deep, face the shadows that growl inside you and laugh big.

Beating McEnroe – Sat 16 February Bjorn Borg epitomised tennis cool and was everything Jamie and his brother wanted to be. Then John McEnroe came along. Beating McEnroe is about rivalry and love and how they can both better us and destroy us.

    Dates: Fri 01 – Sun 03 February 10.30am – 4.30pm
