Summer School Theatre Challenge 13:19

Over five days, we challenge you to create a brand new piece of theatre to be performed in our very own Factory Theatre! Working with professional theatre-makers, you will need to bring your ideas, enthusiasm and energy to make sure you’re prepared to perform on the final day!

    What to Expect

Rehearsals will take place each day for five days, starting at 9.30am and running until 4.30pm. The sessions are led by skilled theatre makers with strong backgrounds in creating work with and for young people.

Please note, we have multiple practitioners working on each summer school and the performing groups will be divided by age. For example, ages 13-15 years and 16+ years. Young people will spend most of their time working with those similar in age.

    The week will include:

    • Fun and energising warm up games
    • Voice work
    • Acting and ensemble
    • Movement
    • Trust and team-building
    • Script work
    • Rehearsals for performance

    What to bring

    Please ensure that you:

    • Arrive in good time
    • Wear comfortable clothing and footwear that allows them to move freely
    • Bring a packed lunch and snacks

Both our Summer School: Theatre Challenge companies (8:12s and 13:19s) will perform in the Factory Theatre on Sat 01 September at 5pm. Tickets for the performances are £3 each.
