SUMMER SCHOOL THEATRE CHALLENGE 13:19
Expect bold theatre, live music and lots of noise as you take on the great musical myth of ORPHEUS. Orpheus is given the power of music by the Gods but how will he use it as he journeys from platinum selling artist to the Underworld and back?
This summer we are offering an exciting and unique opportunity for young people to take part in a performance summer school directed by actor/musician theatre makers John Ward and David Hewson from award-winning DumbWise Theatre Company. Do you enjoy drama? Do you play an instrument? This summer young actors and young musicians will collaborate and stage a brave, bold and brilliant new production of ORPHEUS.
Our sessions are energetic, challenging, educational and enjoyable. Young people will be up on their feet and physically active.
Please note, we have multiple practitioners working on each summer school and the performing groups will be divided by age. For example, ages 13-15 years and 16-19 years. Children will spend most of their time working with those similar in age.
