SUMMER SCHOOL THEATRE CHALLENGE 8:12
Greek myths, Norse Gods, Vikings, beasts and heroes! This summer we have set the ultimate theatre challenge – come and stage the most epic story of all in just five days!
Directed by physical theatre experts Rosie Mason and Lizzie Wiggs.
Our sessions are energetic, challenging, educational and enjoyable. Young people will be up on their feet and physically active.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Rehearsals will take place each day for 6 days at Tobacco Factory Theatres, starting at 9.30am and running until 5pm. The sessions are led by skilled theatre makers with strong backgrounds in creating work with and for young people.
Please note, we have multiple practitioners working on each summer school and the performing groups will be divided by age. For example, ages 8-9 years and 10-12 years. Children will spend most of their time working with those similar in age.
Each day will include:
- Fun and energising warm up games
- Voice work and singing
- Acting and ensemble movement
- Trust and teambuilding
- Script work
- Rehearsals for performance
WHAT TO BRING
Please ensure your child:
- Arrives in good time
- Wears comfortable clothing and footwear that allows them to move freely
- Brings a packed lunch and snacks
