    About

Award-winning YESYESNONO (Five Encounters On A Site Called Craigslist) present a hyper-real exploration of the way we consume information, and the way information consumes us

Somewhere on the other side of the world a plane is falling from the sky. You can see it on your laptop. You can watch it happening on Youtube. You can hit rewind and watch it burning on repeat.

With a new guest performer taking to the stage each night, The Accident Did Not Take Place is a hyper-real exploration of the way we consume information, and the way information consumes us. Join YESYESNONO A frenetic, head-on collision with a world thoroughly mediated by screens, a world possessed with post-truth hysteria, a world yearning for contact with those who seem so far away. YESYESNONO are an award-winning young company based in Manchester. We make fiercely innovative work that wrestles with how connections are made in the 21st century.

TOTAL THEATRE INNOVATION AWARD 2019 SHORTLIST

YESYESNONO is artist Sam Ward and producer Rhian Davies. We make work that explores what connection might look like in a digital world. Some people call our work theatre. Some people don’t. We make work that invites the audience to consider their own situation as a spectator. We make work that invites performers to use their own identities as artistic material. In 2017 we won the Total Theatre Award for Best Emerging Company for our debut show Five Encounters on a Site Called Craigslist.

The development of The Accident Did Not Take Place was supported by HOME, ARC Stockton, Camden People’s Theatre, Pleasance and Arts Council England. The show opened at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019 at Pleasance
