    About

PRESENTED BY TOBACCO FACTORY THEATRES BEYOND AT THE REDGRAVE THEATRE

Written and Performed by Bob Kingdom

Having held audiences spellbound worldwide, including during sell-out seasons in London and Off-Broadway, we’re excited to see the return of Bob Kingdom as he reprises his critically-acclaimed and iconic performance as Truman Capote – the brilliant, adorable and infamous writer of In Cold Blood and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

    Glitzy, Bitchy, Chic, Unique… Heartbreaking.

Truman Capote – social butterfly, gossipmonger and faded novelist – is brought back from the dead in Bob Kingdom’s brilliant one-man show, dropping names until those names drop him. Never lapsing into biography or lecture, this piece brings the middle of the 20th century into sharp focus through Capote’s slightly jaded eyes.

Bob Kingdom affectionately and precisely brings a man who faded from view back into the spotlight he deserved – or at least needed.
