We offer affordable learning opportunities for professional artists across the year as part of our artist development programme.
This season we are proud to present a Writing Masterclass led by Thomas Eccleshare, writer of Heather. The class will explore Thomas’s approach to writing in general, as well as the process behind Heather.
In 2011 Thomas won the Verity Bargate Award with his critically acclaimed play Pastoral. From there he went on to become Soho’s Pearson Playwright in Residence in 2012 which led to him writing A Movement which won the Catherine Johnson Award in 2013. Tobacco Factory Theatres and Oràn Mór commissioned an earlier version of Heather, then called Helen, as one of our a Play a Pie and a Pint productions in 2014.
