Support from Charitable Trusts

As a registered charity, Trusts and Foundations play a vital role in supporting our work.

Our current level of activity costs £2.2 million per year. Although we are proud to earn 76% of our income, we receive a subsidy of only 3% from Arts Council England. We therefore need to generate around £400,000 per year in voluntary income and would not be able to do this without the support of generous grant-making trusts.

The support of trusts and charitable foundations allows us to pursue our ambitions, present fantastic shows, produce inspiring new pieces of work, develop the next generation of artists and run our Children and Young People programme and outreach work for disadvantaged communities. It also helps to develop new audiences and ensure that we keep ticket prices as low as possible so that everyone can enjoy our work.

    How trusts can help

There are several areas of our work currently where we would value support from trusts and foundations. To discuss how your charitable trust could help us realise our ambitions or for further information, please email Kirsten Cree at or call on 0117 963 0966.

For information about our finances and governance, please see our Business Plans and Annual Reports and the biographies of our Board of Trustees.
