Thank you for Giving the Gift!

    THANK YOU!

With the generous support of our Snow White audiences, the Give the Gift campaign which we ran with our friends and co-producers New International Encounter, was a big success.

It raised an incredible total of £13,659.10! A huge thank you.

Your investment in our work will help both organisations to reach many more people in 2020, such as our Young Theatre Maker, Eugene, who you can read more about below.

“We would struggle to find the money to pay for Young Theatre Makers, as we are on low income, and no spare money once our bills are met every month. Our son loves drama, it is his strongest and favourite subject, he is taking it at GCSE next year and hopes to go to drama school, none of which would have happened without his YTM bursary place…” Parent

Eugene first got involved at Tobacco Factory Theatres when he joined us on a bursary place in 2017. He has Sensory Processing Difficulties which can manifest in high anxiety and affect how he interacts in large groups. Through drama sessions, Eugene has been given the tools to express his emotions in a positive, constructive way and has built confidence in social situations.

In 2019 Eugene was thrilled to take part in a new scripted play here with our YTM Perform company, Chaos by Laura Lomas, as part of National Theatre Connections, which brings together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow. Soon he will take to the stage again for the YTM Perform spring production of Navajos directed by our Director in Residence, Jay Crutchley. We can’t wait to see what he does next!

Our Get Involved programme offers opportunities to our community including audiences, young people and artists.
