Our Young Producers are a group of 16 – 25 year olds who spend a year learning from Tobacco Factory Theatres’s producing team as well as theatre and art buffs from across the city. They see shows, learn about event planning, marketing, budgeting, programming and theatre producing, pitch their favourite shows to the rest of the team before programming their choices and taking a lead in running their own festivals and events. And they’ve got some questions for you…
ARE YOU A PROFESSIONAL THEATRE MAKER?
We are the Young Producers of 2018/19 and right now we are on a programming MISSION. Travelling the length and breadth of the country on the lookout for exceptional theatre, we want big theatre in a small space. Be it new writing or adaptations, physical or musical, poetical or visual; we are hunting for unique voices and work that is relevant to people like us.
If you have a show you think we should programme please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
ARE YOU A YOUNG BRISTOL BASED ARTIST?
If so, get ready for SPARK: A Festival of Art 2020 – our festival of work created by 16–25 year olds.
SPARK will be a floor-wide takeover, which means we’ll be presenting work in five spaces at Tobacco Factory Theatres.
In January 2020, we will open applications when we will once again start looking for Bristol’s artists and makers aged 16-25 to present their new and developing work at SPARK: A Festival of Art. To give you inspiration, check out pictures of SPARK: 2019 in the gallery above.
Thank you to Margaret Guido’s Charitable Trust and The Thistle Trust for supporting Young Producers.
