YTM PERFORM 2019-20: APPLICATIONS OPEN!

Last year, 19 amazing young people joined our very first YTM Perform company and spent 7 months with us rehearsing, learning, playing, making friends, and developing a fantastic performance of a brand new play, Chaos by Laura Lomas (as part of National Theatre Connections 2019).

We’re now looking for a new company of 13-19 year olds to join us and it could be you!

If you become a member of the company, you’ll join us in September 2019 and work with our new RYTDS Director Jay Crutchley. Through regular weekly rehearsals (plus some weekends!) you’ll get the chance to form a company, learn new theatre skills and really develop as a performer (non-performers – see further down the page).

This will all culminate in programmed, public performances in our very own Factory Theatre in April 2020!

Still wondering why you should apply for this course? Read below to see what our YTM Perform 2018-19 Company thought…

“I loved it and everyone who was involved, and it was one of the best experiences in my life. It has also given me some insight into what it is like to take part and work in an actual professional production. It was so fun and exciting. I loved how we got to do more than one performance because it meant we could improve each show and it made it feel more professional”.

“I liked working in an ensemble, it felt like we were included more and became our play as well as the directors’. [I loved] making the show our own, the unique performance and I loved the themes and ideas. It has had an effect and impact on my life in general”.

If this sounds like something you (or someone you know) would love to do, we’d love to hear from you. You have until Wednesday 19 June, midday, to apply. Make sure you don’t miss out!

    NOT INTERESTED IN PERFORMING?

We’d still love to hear from you as there will be opportunities for working behind the scenes as the rehearsals progress, so please get in touch!
